UNP wins Galle, UPFA tops postal votes

The United National Party (UNP) has received the highest votes in the Galle Polling Division in the Galle Electoral District. 

The UNP has polled 33,798 votes while the UPFA has received only 19,613 votes. The JVP has obtained the third highest votes in the division with 4,777.

However, the UPFA has received the highest number of postal votes in the Galle District with 15,501.

The UNP has obtained 12,839 postal votes while the JVP got 3,465 postal votes.
