10 injured after bus brakes fail

Ten people have been injured after the brakes of the bus they were travelling in allegedly failed causing the vehicle to veer off the road and topple in the Ambawaka area on the Hali Ela-Welimada road in Badulla.

The wounded passengers of the private bus have been admitted to the Badulla Hospital. 

A group of 34 persons, on their way to a wedding reception, were inside the bus at the time of the accident.

Baddula Police is conducting an investigation into the incident.
