Two arrested with 740 Tramadol capsules

Naval troops attached to SLNS Kelani of the Western Naval Command have arrested two persons who were transporting 740 Tramadol capsules in a three-wheeler. 

The arrest was made near Wellaweediya beach with the assistance of Negambo Police. 

The arrested persons with the Tramadol capsules and the three-wheeler used for the illegal act were handed over to Negambo Police for further investigations, SLN media unit said.  

The possession of large quantities of Tramadol capsules without a valid authorization is illegal in the country.
