UAE Foreign Minister calls on President Sirisena

UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nayhan  has called on President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.


Prior to meeting the President, the UAE Foreign Minister had bilateral discussions with the Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Employment, the Chairman of the Board of Investment and the Director-General to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and other senior officials.
 

During bilateral consultations the Foreign Ministers explored ways of strengthening trade and investment ties, improving the welfare of Sri Lankan workers in the UAE, and collaborating on issues of regional and international concern, the Government Information Department says.

 
Foreign Minister, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nayhan, visited Sri Lanka on the invitation of the Government.
