Army appoints committee to probe SERRIC allegations

Sri Lanka Army (SLA) has appointed a three-member committee to look into the allegations over the SERRIC Center in Narahenpita while the Military Police have been instructed to conduct an investigation simultaneously.

“Following some allegations that had been made on the conduct of affairs at the Army-managed ‘Senehasa’, Education Resource Research and Information Centre (SERRIC) for children of military families with special needs at Manning Town, Narahenpita, the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva has appointed a three-member Board to look into those allegations and simultaneously instructed the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police to conduct investigation.”

“The Commander of the Army has further instructed the Board to produce their findings within a short period to him after going into all the aspects of those allegations,” the army media unit said.
