Flight diverted to Mattala due to bad weather

A SriLankan Airlines flight arriving from London was diverted to Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (MRIA) today due to inclement weather conditions prevalent in Colombo at the time.
However, flight UL504 with 244 passengers onboard is expected to fly back to its original destination of Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake.
