Cop dies from heart attack during Divulapitiya protest

A police officer attached to the intelligence unit has passed away after he suffered a heart attack during a protest held in Divulapitiya this morning demanding the arrest of suspects in the recent murder of 5-year-old girl Seya Sadewmi.

The police officer, a 34-year-old from Yakkala, was rushed to the Divulapitiya Hospital after he had suffered the heart attack, however he had passed away shortly after.
