Kotadeniyawa child murder: suspects further remanded

The 17-year-old school boy and the other suspect in remand in connection with the murder of the five-year-old child in Kotadeniyawa have been further remanded till October 02.


Earlier, the Minuwangoda Magistrate remanded the main suspect in the case, Dunesh Priyantha alias Kondaya, until October 05.


The child was found strangled to death on September 13. She was reported missing from her home at Kotadeniyawa in Divulapitiya on the previous day. Investigations into the murder are carried out by the CID.
