Jacqueline Fernandez to play the role of a murderous pastor’s mistress in her Sri Lankan debut!

Jacqueline Fernandez’s movie roles in Bollywood have mostly focused on her glam quotient, more than her acting skills. With Brothers, wherein she played the role of a simple mother of a little girl who is suffering a fatal disease, Jacky managed to step out of her glamourous cocoon and show the world that she can pull off serious roles.

Her next film is a Sri Lankan project titled According to Mathew where she plays the role of a murderous pastor. The story is based on a real life case where Reverend Mathew Peiris was arrested for committing double murders, that of his wife and his lover’s husband. Actor Alston Koch plays the role of the reverend while Jacky plays his mistress.

The film is being dubbed in Tamil keeping in mind Sri Lanka’s largely Tamil-speaking demographic. Although Jacky hails from Sri Lanka her Tamil-speaking skills are a bit rusty and she is being coached in the language currently so that she can do a good job with the dubbing for the film.
