Kondaya’s brother submitted for a DNA test

The elder brother of Kondaya, who was arrested in connection with the murder and sexual assault on the five-year-old child in Karandeniya, has been brought to the Genetech Molecular Diagnostics Research Institute (GMDRI) in Colombo for a DNA test, the police said Tuesday (06).


The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) yesterday (05) apprised the Court that Kondaya’s brother has confessed to the crime.


Victim Seya Sadewmi was found strangled to death on September 13 while she was reported missing from her home at Kotadeniyawa in Divulapitiya on the previous day.


The two brothers will be produced before the Minuwangoda Magistrate on October 19.
