Majority of the people sought a regime change in a bid to put a full stop to corruption of the previous government, Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka says.

The Minister made the observation at a press conference held in Colombo today (12).

“There was tremendous disappointment among the people during the last few years of the former government, due to its lack of attention to corruption scandals,” he added.

He also pointed out the people had made a crucial decision at the polls as they sensed that the former government was turning a blind eye to corruption and large scale corruption scandals behind the development projects.
