LTTE defeated in Sri Lanka, acid attack in Sydney

Up to five men broke into a home at Westmead in the city’s west just before midnight.
Two men were hiding in a bedroom but the invaders found them and threw acid
at their faces.
One of the men was also stabbed in the stomach and had his ankle broken, he is
in a serious but stable condition at
The other man has been put in an induced coma and taken to the burns unit at
Both victims are still to be formally interviewed by police.
However, police believe the violence began yesterday afternoon, when a brawl
broke out between Tamil Tiger supporters and a pro-Sri Lankan group at Westmead
train station.
A man snapped off a Tamil flag from a car, prompting retaliation from two car loads of people.
That man is also being treated in hospital.
The President of the Sri Lankan Association of New South Wales has condemned the violence.
Doctor Ruwan Walpola says Sri Lankans and Tamils in
“I’m really surprised that it has come down to this point so hopefully this
will be a one-off incident,” he said.
Tamil spokeswoman, Dr Sam Pari says community leaders called for calm after yesterday’s brawl.
“Last evening as soon as this happened people went on the community radio stations...(there were) SMS, emails being sent around saying don’t be provoked,” she said.
Westmead police say the victims of the home invasion did not know their attackers.

Australian govt should catch those terrorist immediately and give maximum punishment. Don´t entertain terrorist activities in Australia. Australian govt should not give permission to do any sort of demonstration in Australia in support of LTTE. How can they fly LTTE flag here?Do U allow any other terrorist organisation to do that?There cannot be double standards. Speak what U do and do what U speak.Not otherwise...

I think that Australia is a good breedimg ground for LTTE. Next time they will ask a part of it. we are waiting to see. This is what they did in Sri Lanka too. killed little kids while sleeping. Massacred Sinhala villages. Now Starting in Aussy

C’mon SriLankans, PLEASE DON’T FIGHT …I mean to all Sinhalese, Tamils, Muslims, burgers and who ever call them Srilankans….. After 30 yrs we have got our motherland free from terrorism. So Why not, we enjoy that freedom together. To my Dear Tamil Friends, It’s your motherland as well. Now all of us could live happily in peace.None of the Srilankans were against with Tamil people, they were only against with so called terrorists. So at last our country has got the peace back. We’ll hold hands together in reuniting our country and let our Flag fly up in the sky giving the message of Peace to the whole world.

This is not the first time. 4th of April also they tried to make our people by showing their flags. It was in front of the Melbourne parliament and they came showing their flags in tinted cars. However media reported they were arrested but I still wonder why Australian police do not arrest these LTTE supporters? All the countries including Australia, Canada and South Africa should pay their attention on this cause because they may try to establish their EELAM in on of these countries. So Be careful and I warmly wish my own people including Mr.President, and my brave soldiers.

Well said Deepthi. Lets show the world that Tamil´s and Sinhalese are Sri Lankans. That they can live in the same country. That LTTE was the dividing wall. How awesom to go back to a country United.

The ideotic policiy of pampering terrorists to gain an upper hand has led to this problem.Deal with terrorists irrespective of nationality as terrorist is the only answer to this.Good luck.

Thanx DNJ... For the person who hasn´t mentioned his name and calling him a Srilankan,,,, My Dear, Have u ever heard of this saying - "WIRAYEN WIRAYA NOSANSIDE" (Hatred never overcome by Hatred). I think you havn´t heard of it. First of all we’ll calm down ourselves individually then as families, cities, etc. etc. and then as a nation. Definitely then we’ll have a clear future. This is not the moment to get angry or to make comments to other people to feel bad about their selves. For Sure, none of us are supporting terrorists and anyway it’s deal by the Mr. President and the forces. My Sincere thanx to Mr. President and a never ending salute to the Forces. Remember though all of us are Sri Lankans we all belong to our own special race and some must be feeling down at this moment. The other thing is, neither you nor I are doing anything physically to sort this problem. All most all of us who are making comments nicely living overseas or in A/C rooms making all sorts of unwanted comments and make our country situ worst. Why not at least by a comment even we try and support our country. If we are still going to talk against the other races (not terrorism) what’s the use of having a terrorism free country………? So please don’t provoke hatred between races.
