Six more arrested over A’pura nightclub owner’s murder

Six more suspect have been arrested in connection with the murder of nightclub owner Wasantha de Zoysa in Anuradhapura bringing the total number of suspects arrested in the case to 20.

Fourteen suspects previously arrested over the incident have been remanded till November 09 by the Anuradhapura Magistrate Court. 

Alexander Wasantha Wickrama de Zoysa, an ex-Karate champion who is said to be the owner of several Guinness World Records, was hacked to death by a gang during a brutal attack on his night club on Sunday (25).

Several individuals including the manager of the nightclub were injured following the attack, which also resulted in large scale damages to the property.
