Estate workers to get loans for Deepavali

The government will provide a loan of Rs 3,500 for estate workers for the Deepavali festival in addition to the Rs 6,500 salary advance, Minister of Plantation Industries Navin Dissanayake says.
Deepavali is one of the grandest festivals in the Hindu calendar and will be celebrated by Hindu devotees throughout the island on November 10.
