18hr water cut for Colombo and several other areas

The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWS&DB) has announced an 18-hour water cut from 11.00 am on Saturday (28) to 5.00 a.m. on Sunday (29) for several areas including Colombo, Kotte and Kaduwela.
The water supply to Colombo, Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia, Kotte and Kaduwela Municipal Council areas as well as Maharagama, Boralesgamuwa, Kolonnawa Urban Council areas and Kotikawatta and Mulleriyawa Pradeshiya Sabha areas will be suspended.
Urgent repairs at the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant has been cited as the reason for the water cut.
