Water supply to be restored in a few hours

The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWS&DB) announced that the water supply which was temporary suspended for several areas in Colombo has been recommenced by 3 a.m. and would be fully  normalised in a few hours.
 

Earlier, the NWS&DB announced an 18-hour water cut from 11.00 am on Saturday (28) to 5.00 a.m. on Sunday (29) for several areas including Colombo, Kotte and Kaduwela. 


The water supply to Colombo, Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia, Kotte and Kaduwela Municipal Council areas as well as Maharagama, Boralesgamuwa, Kolonnawa Urban Council areas and Kotikawatta and Mulleriyawa Pradeshiya Sabha areas have been suspended.


Urgent repairs at the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant has been cited as the reason for the water cut.
