Eight more Indian fishermen arrested

Eight Indian fishermen have been arrested by the Navy in an early morning action today. 


Sri Lanka Navy spokesman confirmed that two Indian fishing boats were also apprehended near Delft Island when they were found fishing in Sri Lankan waters. 


All the fishermen have been taken to Karainagar. They will be produced before the magistrate for legal action later in the day. 


Some 27 Indian fishermen are already in Sri Lankan custody.
