VAT, NTB and Land tax amendments effective tomorrow

Amendments to Value Added Tax (VAT), Nation Building Tax (NBT) and Land taxes made in 2016 budget will be effective from tomorrow (Jan 01), the Finance Ministry said.
Meanwhile the deadline to settle the ‘Super Gains Tax’ introduced by the earlier interim government’s budget ends today (31 December, 2015). This tax was payable in three installments before this deadline.
