Embilipitiya liquor shops closed today

All the liquor shops in Embilipitiya town have been closed until tomorrow morning, following an order issued by the Embilipitiya Divisional Secretariat, Ada Derana reporter says.


The order was issued following a request made by the Embilipitiya police.


Meanwhile, the last rites of the man, who died during a clash between villagers and police in Embilipitiya, was held at the Nawa Nagara cemetery this afternoon. 


The youth, who injured after reportedly jumping from an upper floor of a house during the incident, succumbed to the injuries last Thursday (07).
