The fatal accident had occurred at around 8.50pm last night at a pedestrian crossing on Baseline Road near the Dematagoda railway ground.

Police said the 47-year-old woman and her daughter were rushed to the Colombo National Hospital in critical condition, however they succumbed to injuries after being admitted.
