UNP MP Hafeez resigns

UNP National List MP A.R.A. Hafeez has resigned as a Member of Parliament with effect from today (19), Secretary General of Parliament Dhammika Dasanayake told Ada Derana.
Dr Hafeez is the brother of Minister Rauff Hakeem, leader of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC).
He was named as a National List MP of the United National Front for Good Governance following the 2015 parliamentary election.
