Sushma Swaraj calls on PM

Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj called on Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe here on Friday, the first day of her two-day visit to this island nation.
Indian External Affairs Ministry spokesman Vikas Swarup tweeted along with pictures of the two leaders.
“A warm welcome by a close neighbour. EAM @SushmaSwaraj calls on PM Ranil Wickremesinghe at Temple Trees….Strengthening a cherished relationship, EAM @SushmaSwaraj arrives in Colombo. Is received by FM Samaraweera,” Spokesman Vikas Swarup tweeted.
The India-Sri Lanka Joint Commission was established in 1992 as an effective mechanism to address matters pertaining to bilateral cooperation. It is currently co-chaired by Sushma Swaraj and Samaraweera.
