Ven. Gnanasara Thera further remanded

The General Secretary of the Bodu Bala Sena, Ven. Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera has been further remanded until February 23 by the Homagama Magistrate’s  Court.


The Thera was remanded after being produced before the Magistrate on Tuesday (16) afternoon, Ada Derana reporter said.


A warrant had been issued for the arrest of Gnanasara Thero on charges of allegedly threatening Sandhya Eknaligoda, the wife of missing journalist Prageeth Eknaligoda at the court premises.


Sandhya Eknaligoda had arrived at the premises for the hearing into the Habeas Corpus case in connection with the disappearance of her husband.
