Lacille De Silva removed as PRECIFAC Secretary

March 1, 2016   04:20 pm

Lacille De Silva told Ada Derana a short while ago that he received a letter informing him of his removal from the position of Secretary of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to Investigate and Inquire into Serious Acts of Fraud, Corruption and Abuse of Power, State Resources and Privileges (PRECIFAC).

When contacted by Ada Derana, De Silva said that he received a letter signed by the Secretary to the President informing of the decision and that it did not specify a reason.

However, attempts by Ada Derana to contact the President’s Secretary P.B. Abeykoon failed.

Recently the term of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PRECIFAC) was extended by  one year until March 03, 2017.
