Stop spreading rumors - asks Nishantha

A campaign is underway to spread ‘rumors’ about Minister Patali Ranawaka with respect to the accident that left two youths injured in Rajagiriya on February 28, Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU) National Organizer and Media Spokesman Nishantha Sri Warnasinghe says.


The observation was made at a press conference held in Colombo this afternoon (07).


Warnasinghe also denied any political interference in the police investigations. “The police will conduct an unbiased investigation,” he added.


One individual was injured and another sustained life threatening injuries following the accident that occurred involving a Ministry vehicle and a motorbike. The critically injured person has been identified as Sandeepa Sampath of Godagama and the other as a resident of Colombo 05.
