Hand grenade recovered in Vavuniya

A hand grenade has been recovered from a drain in Goods Shed area in Vavuniya, Ada Derana reporter said.
The grenade was found by a team attached to the Vavuniya police upon a tip-off received by them, it was reported.
An identity card issued by a certain political party has also been recovered along with the grenade, the reporter added.
The Vavuniya police are investigating the incident.
