GMOA to launch island wide protests today

The Govt. Doctors are about to stage demonstrations today (03) in hospitals across the island in protect over the attack on university students who were protesting against the private medical college in Malabe.


The protests will be commenced at 12.00 pm today, Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA) Secretary Dr. Nalinda Herath said.


The police used tear gas and water cannons to disperse the protest march staged by a group of university students in Colombo Fort last Thursday (28).
