Chief Magistrate orders Additional Magistrate to appear before CID

The Colombo Chief Magistrate on Wednesday (18) issued notice on Colombo Additional Magistrate Thilina Gamage to appear before the CID on May 25, Ada Derana reporter said.

The notice issued when a case filed against the Additional Magistrate was taken up for hearing before Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya.

The case had been filed over the alleged possession of an elephant calf at his residence, reporter added.

However, the elephant calf was handed over to the Wildlife officials earlier.
