Don’t try to create issues - President

While drafting the new Constitution, the Government will not support any proposal that would undermine the sovereignty and integrity of the country, President Maithripala Sirisena said.


The observation was made while speaking at an event held in Galle.


“The point of drafting a new Constitution is to find answers to the existing issues, not to create any problems,” he added.


He also vowed that he will not allow any party to sabotage the process when drafting the new Constitution.
