Heavy traffic reported in Fort

Severe traffic congestion has been reported from Technical junction to Fort Railway station due to a protest march, the police said.

The protest is staged by the Ceylon Teachers Services Union demanding the immediate appointment of undergraduates of the Western province who passed the examination for the post of teacher.

The motorists have been asked to use alternate roads if at all possible.
