The laws were enforced than now when Gotabaya Rajapaksa was the Defence Secretary, President of the Lanka Private Bus Owners Association Gemunu Wijeratne has said.

Wijeratne has also accused the police of failing to do enough to enforce law and order in the country.

The observation was made when he arrived at the Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission to  file a complaint with citing that the police is not acting to minimise traffic congestion on roads.
