Body recovered from Mawanella believed to be missing businessman

The body believed to be of the businessman from Bambalapitiya who went missing discovered from Mawanella, Police said. Police added that DNA tests would be conducted to confirm the identity.


The decomposed body of the businessman was discovered following a tipoff received by the police last evening, an official said.   


The Colombo Crime Division has commenced an investigation into the disappearance of the businessman and to identify the suspects.


Family members of the businessman reported to police last Friday, that Mohammed Sakeem Sulaiman was missing from their house on the Kotelawala Avenue.
