Basil denies ownership of 16-acre Malwana land

Former Minister Basil Rajapaksa’s attorney today informed the court that his client has no connection to the disputed 16 acre property located in Malwana, Pugoda. 

President’s Counsel Jayantha Weerasinghe notified the Pugoda Magistrate Court today in this regard while the former Minister of Economic Development had also appeared before the court. 

Pugoda Magistrate D.A. Ruwanpathirana stated that the decision on whether the 16 acre land will be sold and credited to the state, will be delivered on October 14.
