Three arrested for trying to smuggle medicines to Sri Lanka

Three persons, including two Sri Lankans, have been arrested at Vethalai near Rameswaram for attempting to smuggle medicines worth about Rs 250,000 to Sri Lanka, police said on Friday.

Rajagopalan and Murugan, both hailing from Jaffna in Sri Lanka, and Mahesh had planned to smuggle the medicine by boat to Sri Lanka on Thursday night, police said.
