Former Batticaloa Mayor Prabhakaran remanded

Former Mayor of Batticaloa Sivageetha Prabhakaran who was arrested on the allegation of running a brothel has been remanded until 07 November. 


Three other suspects who were arrested in connection with the case have also been remanded, Ada Derana reporter said.


The suspects were remanded after being produced before Batticaloa Magistrate M. Ganesharajah this morning (24).   


Sivageetha Prabhakaran was arrested at her residence in Batticaloa last morning.
