Sri Lanka makes 537 after centuries by Perera, Tharanga

Sri Lanka posted 537 all out in the opening innings of the test series against Zimbabwe, with centuries by Kusal Perera and Upul Tharanga putting the visitors in control of the first test.
Zimbabwe was 88-1 in reply at stumps on the second day of the series-opener on Sunday. Sri Lankan stand-in captain Rangana Herath removed Brian Chari to have Zimbabwe under pressure in its first innings before a steadying partnership of 67 between Tino Mawoyo (41 not out) and Hamilton Masakadza (33 not out).
Sri Lanka still leads by 449 runs after Tharanaga picked up where Perera left off on Saturday. Tharanga hit 10 fours in his 110 not out to take Sri Lanka to a big score. He benefited from one of a series of dropped catches by the Zimbabweans.
