Two members of Ava Group arrested

State Minister of Defence Ruwan Wijewardena says that security forces have launched investigations into the infamous ‘Ava Group’ – an underworld criminal gang which is said to be terrorizing the people in the Jaffna Peninsula.

He completely rejected the rumours being spread claiming that the criminal gang is receiving the support of security forces. 

 Wijewardena said that two suspected members of the Ava Group have already been arrested by authorities.
