Water bills to increase by 30% from December

The water tariff will be increased by 30 per cent on average with effect from December 01, the Chairman of the National Water Supply and Drainage Board K. A. Ansar said.

He stated that low-income households, religious institutions and schools will be exempted from this tariff hike.  

The Water Board chairman added that the water tariff is increased every 3 years, however this increase comes after 4 years as the last water tariff hike was in 2012.
