Govt’s proposals on SAITM expected within the day

Minister of Higher Education Lakshman Kiriella informed Parliament that the government’s proposals on the SAITM issue will be presented by the ministry within the course of the day. 

He stated that the proposals would be made public by the Secretary to the Ministry of Higher Education. 

The Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA) and several other trade unions today (7) launched a strike action over government inaction on the SAITM issue.
