Piliyandala shooting: three held for aiding and abetting

Sri Lanka Police says that the suspect responsible for carrying out the recent shooting incident in Piliyandala targeting officers of the police narcotics bureau, which had resulted in the deaths of a police officer and a little girl, has been identified. 

Three individuals including a woman have been arrested in Ahangama yesterday (21) for aiding and abetting the suspect to commit the crime, tampering with evidence, providing false information and also for sheltering the suspect. 

Police said that a 44-year-old woman and two youths in their early twenties, who are residents of Ahangama, have been arrested by the Mirihana special crimes unit. They will be produced at the Kesbewa Magistrate’s Court today (22).
