Five-person judicial panel to preside over Geetha’s petition hearing

A five-person panel of judges has been appointed to preside over the hearing of the petition submitted by MP Geetha Kumarasinghe.

The petition was filed by MP Geetha Kumarasinghe against the ruling made by the Court of Appeal abolishing her seat in the Parliament.

The five-person justice panel was appointed by the Chief Justice as per the request made by the petitioning party.

Accordingly, the hearing has been scheduled for September 15.
