GMOA goes on strike

The Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA) is holding an island-wide strike today (22). 

The strike is being held in protest against the functioning of the private Medical school in Malabe, as well as against the way student protestors were handled during the protests held yesterday (21). 

GMOA stated that the strike will commence at 8.00am today.

The strike has left with many people in distress, as they gave faced difficulties with receiving medication and consultations.
