A special investigation is to be carried out on several tutorials distributed by a private tutor, which allegedly contains leaked questions from the 2017 GCE Advanced Level Chemistry part II paper.

The Commissioner General of Examinations W.M.N.J.Pushpakumara stated that a written request has been handed over to the Police to carry out a special investigation.

The investigations were triggered yesterday (19), after the conclusion of the Chemistry part II paper, when a private tutor began distributing written literature stating he was able to discuss several questions seen in the Chemistry part II paper through tutorials that he conducted. It has been reported that the tutor was distributing flyers in front of an examination center in Gampaha.

The Commissioner of Examinations has stated that a statement will be issued after the conclusion of the investigation.
