Muslims to celebrate Hajj on Sept 02

The Hajj festival this year will be celebrated on September 02.

The Colombo Grand Mosque reported that the new moon of Dhul Hijjah, the 12th month of the Islamic calendar, had not been sighted last night (22).

The Colombo Grand Mosque has decided to celebrate Arafah on September 01.

A large number of Muslims will reportedly be visiting the holy site of Mecca on pilgrimages.
