We will topple the government-Arundika

Former Deputy Minister Arundika Fernando stated that every possible move will be taken to topple the present government in future.

He expressed these views while commenting on the deprivation of his Deputy Ministerial portfolio recently.

The Former Minister said that there are people of good quality in both parties and his disappointment is with the government, not with the President.

“I made a policy decision considering the people of the country. There were times that I criticized the government regarding their shortcomings and it was not a mistake at all,” the Former Minister said.

“We hope to form a new government in future by uniting the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) which has now been collapsed. However, some people are now day-dreaming of appointing Prime Minister as the President at the 2020 elections.”

Speaking further, Ex-Minister said that his presence with the President at the ceremony yesterday (13) cannot be interpreted neither as he supports the present government nor he expects a Ministerial portfolio.
