Arundika finds a seat in the JO

Former Deputy Minister Arundika Fernando stated that he will extend his fullest support to all the political parties who aim to topple the current government by working with the Joint Opposition. 

The former Deputy Minister made these statements while participating in a press briefing of the Joint Opposition for the first time since he was removed from his ministerial portfolio.  

Arundika Fernando stated that he had no ambition to gain favour of the President when he joined the government. He also expressed his sadness as a devout Catholic over the slanderous comments levied against the Buddhist clergy. 

He also stated that he was ousted from his ministerial portfolio because he spoke out against the injustice that was being committed.
