October 9, 2017   05:10 pm

UPFA Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa and Provincial Council members Upali Kodikara, Sampath Atukorala and Major Ajith Prasanna have been notified to appear at the Hambantota Police Station tomorrow (10).

They have been informed in writing to arrive at the police station at 5.00pm tomorrow for questioning regarding the Joint Opposition’s protest in Hambantota.

It was reported this morning that Rajapaksa and fellow Joint Opposition MPs DV Chanaka and Prasanna Ranaweera were summoned for questioning tomorrow.

However, the Hambantota District MP had visited the police station today as he will be unable to do so tomorrow due to personal commitments and even sought a different date to give a statement.

Now it has been reported that he has been summoned to appear at 5.00pm tomorrow while the three provincial councilors, who were instructed to appear today for questioning, have also been given the same time tomorrow.

Meanwhile DV Chanaka and Prasanna Ranaweera have been asked to appear at Hambantota Police tomorrow morning.
