Recording of evidence before Bond Commission concludes today

The Presidential Commission of Inquiry appointed to investigate the Central Bank Bond scandal will formally conclude the recording of evidence pertaining to the case today (17). 

The President of the Commission sated that the Prime Minister will be summoned before the commission should the need arise for him to submit evidence. 

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe had recently stated that he is prepared to appear before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry for any clarifications that are to be made.

In a statement to the media the Prime Minister’s Office declared that the Premier will have no objections in appearing before the Bond Commission following the mention of his name by persons produced before the Bond Commission.
