President attends Mahiyanganaya Esala Perahera…

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake visited the historic Mahiyanganaya Raja Maha Vihara on September 06 to attend the 2025 Esala Perahera Festival of the temple and the Sri Sumana Saman Maha Devalaya, where he engaged in religious observances and received blessings.

Subsequently, the President met with the Chief Incumbent of the Mahiyanganaya Raja Maha Vihara, Most Venerable Urulewatte Dhammarakkhita Thero, Senior Executive Sangha Member of the Asgiriya Chapter, and inquired after his well-being during a brief conversation, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said.
