Man throws ‘chili powder’ at guards and robs bank in Wattala

The Wattala branch of a bank has been robbed by an individual who arrived on a motorcycle at around 2.3opm today (27). 

Police said that the suspect, who arrived on a motorcycle, threw chili powder at the bank’s security guards before entering the branch. 

He then proceeded to rob a sum of Rs 750,000 from the counter before fleeing on the motorcycle. 

Wattle police is conducting further investigations.
